Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about court construction and resurfacing in BC.

📍 What areas of British Columbia do you serve?
We are based in Sidney (Greater Victoria) on Vancouver Island, but we operate province-wide. We regularly manage projects in the Lower Mainland, the Interior (Kelowna, Kamloops), and Northern BC (Prince George, Terrace, Fort St. John).
🎾 How long does it take to resurface a tennis or pickleball court?
Typically, a standard resurfacing project takes 4 to 6 working days, depending on the court's condition and weather. This includes cleaning, crack repair (using RiteWay technology), and applying multiple layers of Nova Sports USA acrylic coating.
☁️ How does the BC weather affect the installation?
Acrylic surfacing requires dry conditions and temperatures above 10°C (50°F). In coastal areas like Victoria or Vancouver, our peak season runs from May through September. For indoor facilities or modular tile installations, we can work year-round.
🛠️ Can old cracks be permanently repaired?
Standard "fill-and-paint" repairs often fail within a year due to ground movement. We are certified RiteWay Crack Repair technicians, using a specialized micro-technology membrane that bridges the crack, allowing the court to expand and contract without the crack reappearing on the surface.
🛡️ Is your company insured?
Yes, West Canadian Sports Installations is fully insured. We carry comprehensive liability insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage to protect our clients and our crews during every project.
